My 2019 Session Bucket List | Sierra Shawn Photography | Ithaca New York
hey mama, do you have a bucket list?
well personally… i not only have my big lifetime one (which is a running list in my office, that i have kept since i was about 12), but i have a three that i do each year (that i started after Maggie was born). i have a bucket list of sessions i want to shoot, of places i want to take my kids to this year, and of moments i want to make sure we get to experience (if possible).
my 2019 bucket list is (also, there is no order to it for any of you type a’s 😂)…

a beach session in california
a military family welcoming back a loved one from deployment

families morning routine
water park fun (family)
families traditions at thanksgiving
babies first meeting of great grandparents
boat ride (couple)

saturday morning breakfast (family)
frozen waterfall maternity and breastfeeding
first new years as parents (ideally newborn to three months)
gingerbread house making (toddlers)
galentine’s day celebration
a TRADITION that is special to your family
first valentines day as parents
yes some of those are specific but if you want to manifest anything in life, you have to put it out there, right?!
Now you might be wondering, well how might you photograph something like a family movie night, see i wont stay with you the WHOLE time (unless you want me too) but i will photograph the process of the family movie night, the making of popcorn (or your special movie snacks) and the cuddling together. i always take a fly on the wall technique of all my sessions, sometimes guiding a little more than others; but each session is completely about allowing your moments to happen naturally.
i plan to be traveling to washington, california, colorado, and texas in the fall… its all up in the air right now, and depends on a few things; and we might not hit all of them because i am also planning a month long costa rica ytt with infinite source yoga in august. with that said; have any of you done a ytt out of the country, and maybe brought your children?! thinking of making it a long vacation for the kids, because ASHLEY is the bomb and makes her ytt family friendly! (totally off topic of this blog, but nsop (normal Sierra OPERATING procedure).
anyways.. the moments with our children are fleeting, and as i sit her typing this our little google chrome laptop, with my kids semi being babysat by the tv for me to type up this blog post at the kitchen table overseeing all; i am taken over my the feelings of love that i feel for my children. gersh.. i just love them so much!!
i want to make sure that we are able to hold onto these memories with those important people in our lives, whether they are friends, family, children, partners, babies.. basically anyone you love. families, couples, friends, and grandparents book your bucket list session today for special pricing! your brain might be able to remember these moments, but freezing them in time for, basically forever for you to enjoy!
sending you all the love
